How To Create A Squeeze Page & Edit It For Free

The internet has quickly become one of the most advanced and preeminent ways for targeting your audience and marketing your product and services.  One of the most common business models is for a company to start with a squeeze page to build a double optin email list prior to the sale, so that they can market to their potential customer base again in the future or recover lost sales for those who don’t finalize their purchase.

A similar way to promote this is to set up a “free offer” squeeze page that will soft sell the prospect by offering articles, newsletters or reviews of various products.  Often this works very well for affiliate marketers who want rely on email marketing.

Still yet a 3rd approach to things might be to make the sale or create a “free offer” as I’ve mentioned above and then as the visitor to confirm by opting in on the next window that comes up after they’ve made the decision that they want to purchase or participate in the program or service that’s being offered.

None Of This Is New – Think About This….

Roughly a decade back, business owners and aspiring infopreneurs started using the internet as a medium for hitting their targeted audience. Since then the process has been going on non stop. Today, internet is alone regarded as one of the biggest and most effective method of marketing.

We cannot deny the fact that every business needs a suitable medium for marketing itself. Without proper and effective marketing, a business is most likely to fail and would not last longer than 3 months. The need to have a strong and implementable marketing plan is as important as having a strong capital to start business with.

When the Search engines like Google and Yahoo gained importance in the late 90’s, it grabbed the attention of thousands (if not millions) of users who were looking for new ways to market their products and services.  Suddenly their was a need for a squeeze page, so that people could capture leads and keep up with their growing customer base.

This is when specialists saw the potential of effective yet economical marketing by using internet as a medium. Soon the internet became center of attraction for every business as every one started entering the internet market. With internet reaching each home in every corner of the world, the market source itself became humongous!

In the start, Search Engines managed the marketing campaigns themselves and people were to pay a considerable amount of money to put their ad up on the websites. Soon the famous “Pay Per Click” marketing was introduced and everyone started utilizing the service to promote their business/brand or cause. This is when affiliate marketers decided to develop another form of webpage which is called a “Squeeze page”.

Squeeze Pages initially were a one page website that was created in order to market a product or an affiliate offer. A typical Squeeze Page normally contains a detailed content describing about the benefits of purchasing a product or using an affiliate product or service. It has the options of opt in email subscriptions which user can sign up for according to their willingness.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The CANSPAM Act Of 2003 Requires that you use a double optin system, which confirms the person’s desire to receive information from you.  The only exception to this rule by law is if the person has made a purchase, as they have shown their intention to do business with you and as such it is essential that you should be able to contact them for related matters.

The squeeze page has become one of the most commonly found methods of marketing over the internet and is now regarded as one of the most up to date and effective method of marketing over internet which is search engine friendly.

WARNING

In recent times the squeeze page has become a center of criticism and is often related to “Scam”. This is due to the enormous number of affiliate promotions that have been using the squeeze page as their primary medium online.

Today, different search engines and internet marketing firms are contributing to improve the effectiveness and trustworthiness of squeeze pages.

Google has made it mandatory for the squeeze pages to contain a substantial amount of content in it. Moreover, many of the squeeze pages are not able to get themselves on Pay Per Click campaigns if optimized properly, which is why the squeeze page is still being used by a vast majority of internet marketers to build their email list.

How to Drive Traffic to Your Squeeze Page

After you have created your squeeze page, you’re probably very excited to start getting opt-ins to your list. By selecting a good autoresponder company that keeps track of your e-mail open rates, you will eliminate a lot of hassels.

Start driving traffic to your squeeze page once you have the technical aspects squared away. If you do not have “eyeballs” on your opt in form, you won’t get any signups! Some marketers spend a lot of time setting up their squeeze page and expect the leads to come in on their own. This just does not happen! Driving traffic to your webpage requires a lot of time and effort before you start enjoying the rewards.

You may have already used traffic generation techniques for your website or Internet marketing and, if so, you already have a head start. You can use the same methods for driving traffic to your squeeze page and start building a list!

One option is to use pay per click marketing, such as Google Adwords. You’ll basically bid on certain key words that people in your niche are likely to search for. You should create an enticing ad so they want to visit your webpage and see what you have to offer. If your squeeze page is compelling enough, you’ll probably find that you get an opt-in rate of around 20% or more! Of course, this varies according to the niche, but you’ll probably find a number around that.

You can also use search engine optimization. This is kind of difficult to deal with using a squeeze page since there is little content and not a lot of clutter or links. Still, you can place articles on the same domain and link those articles to your squeeze page to drive even more traffic. Since Google loves content, writing articles will help your ranking!

There are many free websites you can use to help you drive traffic as well. You may create a one page website on sites like Squidoo and HubPages that will allow you to link to your opt-in form. These websites offer their own traffic and rankings in the search engines for your keywords.

Anither method that works extremely well is article marketing. Ezine Articles and Article Base are article directories where you can submit your articles with your webpage URL in the author’s resource box. Indicate that there is a free offer when they click the link, and you will likely get more click from your article.

Put these traffic generation techniques to work for you and you will begin to build your list. Be disciplined by creating a schedule and stick to it every day and you will start seeing some good traffic. Do a little bit each day and it won’t seem like such a burden — and the profits will be great!

Increasing your Squeeze Page Opt in Rates

What exactly is a Squeeze Page?  It is a page on a site or blog that “squeezes” the visitor into signing up for a mailing list.  Simple as that.  So how are they used?  In this article we will explore the different types of squeeze pages and some techniques for increasing your opt in rates.

A squeeze page is a simple page on your website or blog that basically is just a form for someone to subscribe to your newsletter or mailing list.  There are lots of ways of constructing a squeeze page from super simple with some text and an opt in box to slick video squeeze pages.  The one thing all of these squeeze pages have in common is the opt in box.  There must be an optin box for your visitor to sign up to receive your offers.

You will have more subscribers if your box is “above the fold” meaning your full opt in box shows when the page or site loads in the browser withought having to scroll.  This is easily the most effective change you can make to improve your opt in rate.  Make it easy for your customer to sign up to recieve communications from you.

Another way to improve your subscriber rate is to give easy to understand instructions on your confirmation page.  The confirmation page is the page a subscriber is taken to after they enter their information in your opt in box.  Not everyone know’s how double opt ins work giving instructions on how to confirm their subscription will definitely improve your subscription rate.

Implementing these two simple things for your next squeeze page or current pages can help improve your opt in rates, giving you more customers to market to and even more opportunity for you to put your product in front of them.
